Costs & Fees

Costs Overview

How costs work for AY 2026-27

Students who join us through a partner institution pay tuition to their home university, never to Unicollege, and one all-inclusive Program Fee covering housing, meal plan, study tours and dedicated on-site support. An itemized cost breakdown is provided to financial aid offices, so the fee can be covered through consortium or contractual agreements.

The complete fee schedule, including rates for independent (non-partner) enrollment, is available on request from the International Office.

Tuition & Program Fee

Two ways to join Unicollege

The model adapts to the type of agreement between Unicollege and the home university. All rates are confirmed in the official fee schedule, available on request.

Partner students

Tuition paid at home

Students nominated by a partner institution pay tuition to their home university, as in a classic exchange. Scholarships and federal financial aid stay intact.

Exchange Experience

All-inclusive Program Fee

One Program Fee covers housing, meal plan (or equivalent dining credit, depending on campus), study tours, museum entries, events, immigration assistance, airport pickup, local transport and dedicated on-site support. Itemized cost breakdown available for financial aid offices.

Independent students

Per-credit enrollment

Students whose university has no agreement with Unicollege may enroll directly on a per-credit basis, covering courses and housing. The experience package is reserved for partner students. Rates on request.

Custom

Negotiated structures

Faculty-led, custom and hybrid partnership models may provide for tailored academic-financial arrangements.

Field-trip and Honors courses

Optional credit-bearing field trips (Siena, Pisa, Bologna, Rome) and individually mentored Honors courses carry supplementary fees, detailed in the fee schedule and in each course syllabus.

Course syllabi

Rates depend on the agreement between Unicollege and the partner university. Request the official fee schedule from the International Office: studyabroad@unicollegessml.it.

Housing & Meal Plans

Mandatory for all participants

All international students are required to reside in university-managed housing or in accommodations formally affiliated with Unicollege. Rates below include the semester meal plan unless otherwise noted.

Florence Central campus

Single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, plus garden-view apartments (shared or single use). All options include the semester meal plan.

Mantua campus

Single, double and triple rooms, with the semester meal plan included.

Turin campus

Single and double rooms, with the semester meal plan included.

Housing rates by campus, room type and term are listed in the official fee schedule, available on request from the International Office. For partner students, housing and meals are already included in the all-inclusive Program Fee. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis; where on-campus capacity is limited, placement is arranged within Unicollege's affiliated housing network. Final details - address and check-in instructions - are communicated before the start of the academic term.

Eligible Title IV funding may be applied where supported by home-institution policy.
