Admissions to Unicollege follow two structured pathways: through a partner university or as an independent student. Both maintain the same academic and administrative standards.
01 Application Pathways
Application Pathways
For students applying through partner universities to participate in a study abroad program at Unicollege, the process is coordinated between the home institution and Unicollege, with clearly defined stages from initial promotion to final credit transfer. Each step ensures alignment with academic requirements, institutional procedures, and study abroad standards.
For students applying independently to a study abroad program at Unicollege, the process is managed directly between the student and Unicollege. While maintaining the same academic and administrative standards as partner-based applications, this pathway allows for flexible entry points and direct communication throughout the admission and enrollment process.
02 Through a Partner University
Through a Partner University
1. Program Promotion and Materials
Home universities receive official materials from Unicollege, including the application form, student guidebook, and information sheet, and launch their internal study abroad promotion. This typically takes place:
- September to October for the Spring semester
- January to February for the Fall semester
2. Application through Home Institution
Students apply through their home university. Institutions with a limited number of places may conduct an internal selection process based on academic merit or other institutional criteria.
3. Nomination Submission
The home university formally submits the list of nominated students to Unicollege for review.
4. Review and Eligibility Confirmation
Unicollege reviews nominations, verifies eligibility, and confirms student participation.
5. Completion of Application Materials
Selected students complete the Unicollege application process, including:
- Academic information
- Housing preferences
- Meal plans
- Visa requirements (if applicable)
- Insurance and required documentation
All materials are submitted directly to Unicollege.
6. Final Approval
Unicollege confirms approval of applications and informs the home university when applicable.
7. Arrival and Orientation
Students are expected to arrive 3 to 5 days prior to the start of the semester for check in and orientation.
8. Academic Calendar
- Fall Semester: September to December
- Spring Semester: January or February to April or May
- Summer Sessions: May, June, July, August
9. Program Duration and Visa Considerations
The standard duration is 90 days for visa free students and 90 days or more for students holding a study visa. Students staying longer than 90 days must follow visa procedures.
10. Make Up and Completion Flexibility
Make up sessions or remaining examinations may be completed online if a student returns early, subject to prior approval by both the home university and Unicollege.
11. Transcripts
Upon successful completion, Unicollege issues and sends the official transcript of records listing all completed courses and grades.
12. Credit Transfer
The home university evaluates and transfers credits in accordance with its own academic policies.
03 As an Independent Student
As an Independent Student
1. Year Round Applications
Applications are open throughout the year, and students are placed in the closest available session: Fall, Spring, or Summer.
2. Direct Enrollment Request
Independent students may request enrollment directly by contacting: francesca.serra@unicollege.eu
3. Admission Process
Independent applicants follow the same admission, documentation, and confirmation procedures outlined in steps 4 to 12 of the partner university process.
